Paramount+ And TVING End Partnership—What This Means For Korean Shows On Paramount+

Over the past couple of years, Paramount+ subscribers have enjoyed access to bold and innovative Korean content thanks to the streamer’s partnership with TVING, a Korean streaming service that’s majority owned by entertainment juggernaut CJ ENM.
Unfortunately, that partnership is now coming to an end.
“TVING and Paramount+ have decided not to renew their partnership,” stated a Paramount spokesperson.
The alliance was originally forged in December 2021 as part of a broader content deal between Paramount Global (then called ViacomCBS) and CJ ENM, which saw the two entertainment giants co-produce seven original Korean series, including Yonder, Bargain, A Bloody Lucky Day, Pyramid Game, Queen Woo, Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale and Dongjae, the Good or the Bastard. Of these, only the first four have been released so far on Paramount+.
