Hi there! I’m a culture and entertainment writer based in Queens, New York. For the past decade or so, I’ve worked in a number of different sectors, including government, nonprofit, media, journalism and advertising—I suppose you could say I have career ADD! But I’m a writer at heart and welcome any opportunity to help people and organizations tell their stories, whether it’s a foreign filmmaker trying to break into the US market, a small nonprofit working to increase professional opportunities for marginalized groups, an international organization hoping to improve the state of the world, or an agency reinventing itself in the middle of a global pandemic—just to name a few examples.

Most importantly, I’m a staunch believer in soft power and cultural diplomacy and love to write about Korean culture and Korean American stories. Having grown up with a deep familiarity of both Korean and American cultures, I like to share nuanced perspectives that are often not told in Western media, and I hope you’ll find some of my musings here to be helpful and enlightening.
