Paramount+’s ‘A Bloody Lucky Day’ Is The Best Korean Thriller Of 2024 So Far

While Netflix may still be the king of buzzy K-dramas, some of the edgiest and most bingeworthy Korean TV shows can be found on Paramount+. From legendary director Lee Joon-ik’s intriguing sci-fi drama Yonder (which became the most watched international series on Paramount+ in the U.S. shortly after its release) to the Cannes award-winning Bargain—a dizzying gorefest about organ harvesting and one of the most bonkers K-dramas ever made—Paramount+ offers a selective array of K-drama gems, including its upcoming highly anticipated teen thriller Pyramid Game set to premiere on May 30.

But its strongest yet most underrated Korean show might be the spellbinding serial killer thriller A Bloody Lucky Day (운수 오진 날). Directed by Pil Gam-seong and starring Yoo Yeon-seok, Lee Sung-min and Lee Jung-eun, the 10-episode series debuted as the most-watched cable TV show in Korea in November and was released globally on Paramount+ earlier this year.
